i recently read mahashweta devi ,written by sudha murthy & it is a fabulous book on indian traditional cultural scenario,marriage, the main heroine"anupama strength of character & life in small towns of tamilnadu. It is a must read for anybody liking fiction of the sensitive kind. the book has been translated in gujarati,marathi,hindi,& other languages. Especiallly likable are certain lines performed by anupama in her one act play for raising funds.
The book is the triumph off mahashweta devi (anupama ) to live life on her terms defying conventions ,marriage vows & social conventions & even disease!!!!!
enjoy ......absorbing .... great read!!!!!!
