This is a poem written by me on the recent event in the family. It tries to capture the surreal feelinga at that time......read & enjoy
WEDDING ENGAGEMENT
The engagement got fixed suddenly.......
On the eve of this march,
It was rather hurried & sudden......
Just like the burst of hidden passion,
in the to-be-brides bosom,
It was a glitzy affair ......
By the family standards,
Sarees & cholis ......
exchanged bodies,
Make-up & mehndi ......
a-la- fashion embodies,
Guests were eager ......
some were curious ,
But the near & dear.......
members were resigned,
For it was an occasion ........
of joy mixed with ,
deliberate design !!!!!
